So.. If I want to capture console footage, what do I need to get the best results? (No 10000€ solutions, thank you )
Also, is it possible to capture footage in color with PAL 60 on with some kind of hardware?

If your computer is slow, old and crippled like NazdaH, U can't capture with high quality etc.
Post your computer specs like CPU, RAM, HD etc.

Sounds ok.
How about your hard drive and graphic card?

If you want to EDIT your movies too, 512 is the absolute minimum RAM. You can see your RAM amount by going to the Control Panel (ohjauspaneeli) and selcting System (Järjestelmä).
Hard drive does not need to be that big with Xbox recording, there's some very good codecs out there which give almost 100% pure AVI quality with zillion times smaller files.

Have you checked that your GFX card doesn't have VIVO (Video in/Video out)? Check the manual if it has Video In feature. If it has, you won't be needing any other capture device
If you can't find any manuals etc. Check the model number & brand of the card, eg. Club3d ATI Radeon x800 256mb
These are questions which should be answered as accurately as you can. If you can find out more about your GFX card, you can google it/go to the manufacturer's site and check there if it has VIVO.
If it doesn't have IT, you need a capture device. GFX cards doesn't affect much for recording & editing... Only if they have Video In of course.
