The bracket for Livegamers' Gears of Live '07 tournament has been revealed and it looks interesting to say the least. Yet again, two winning candidates, imob.gow and FHC have been placed to fight against each other in the second round. This brings back bad memories..

I'm gonna be bold (again) and say that whoever wins, be it imob.gow or FHC in the second round, will win the whole tournament. The one who loses, will be out from the event and left with nothing. I think this is unfair and highlights the fact that Gears of Live '07, as many other Livegamers tournaments are laid out unprofessionally.

In the Livegamers' network PC section (PC Gamers), Counter-Strike tournaments were arranged so that dropped clans got another chance to make it farther by taking part to a custom made, second "Losers" tournament. Livegamers does not have any double elimination system, so this was the only logical way to accomplish losers bracket.

We'd like to see this happening in the Gears of Live tournament too, but it seems very unlikely.

There's currently 43 teams participating in the tournament and our first match will be against SFP, who is presumably concentrating more on the forthcoming Call of Duty 3 - Blitzkrieg '07 event
